The Heart Behind Pau Pair
Pau Pair was born from a deeply personal experience.
Our founders created Pau Pair in honor of their father and father-in-law, a proud U.S. Army veteran and educator who valued independence, home, and the quiet comfort of companionship. When he was diagnosed with an aggressive brain cancer, complications from the disease made daily life increasingly difficult, yet his desire to remain in his own home never changed.
During that time, his Labrador Retriever became a source of comfort, routine, and purpose. But as his health declined, it became impossible to provide the consistent care she needed. Facing the reality of losing a beloved pet – not from lack of love, but from physical limitation – revealed a painful truth many older adults and families face.
Pau Pair exists so no one has to make that choice. We provide gentle, reliable in-home pet care that preserves dignity, supports independence, and keeps cherished pets right where they belong – at home, with the people who love them.
